Asia’s first airline, Philippine Airlines, Inc. was founded on 15 March 1941. Using Beech Model 18 aircraft its maiden flight was on a Manila to Baguio route. Philippine Airlines is currently serving twenty nine domestic and thirty one international destinations.

Philippine Airlines acquired accreditation from IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The only airline accredited with IOSA in the Philippines.
